We had a fabulous time this morning building structures out of k'nex. After looking at some pictures of different structures and discussing the shapes, strength and stability, we got the chance to construct some of our own. Each group had their own challenge such as a castle, a flying fox, a bridge or a tower with a look-out. Our structures looked stupendous. Thank you to the parents & grandparent who were able to come along and help us. Everyone showed great teamwork and it was wonderful to see how much you have already learnt so far this term. Check out the photos of the finished pieces.

Today Mrs De Vries shared a maths task with us. We imagined that we had $20 and we had to buy fruit for our fruit bowl. Each type of fruit was a different price. We had to add all the fruit up to $20. We discussed making tidy numbers to ten and we had to write our equations. Working with a friend allowed us to talk about our maths as we worked.
